Firefighters need to ventilate roofs to allow superheated smoke and hot gasses to exit the sructure. This improves firefighter survivability and visability inside a structure fire. ![]()

Overhaul- Once the fire is out, firefighters take apart ceilings and walls to find hidden fires to make sure it does not rekindle after they leave. ![]()
